The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application PDF: 51.63 KB from Qantas seeking to renew Determination [2015] IASC 111 which allocates 300 seats of passenger capacity per week on the Singapore route to be used to exercise own stopover rights between Singapore and Colombo.

Invitation for other applications

In accordance with sections 12 and 17 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for the capacity.

The closing date for making an application is 7 November 2019. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Executive Director of the Commission, by email (at, of your intention to make an application as soon as possible.

Update: 02-December-2019

On 28 November 2019 the Commission issued Renewal Determination [2019] IASC 121, re-allocating to Qantas 300 seats per week of capacity on the Australia-Singapore route to be used to exercise own stop-over rights between Singapore and Colombo. The fresh determination permits the capacity to be used by either Qantas or its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jetstar Airways Pty Limited. The determination is valid for five years from 22 October 2020.
