The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application from Qantas seeking the allocation of 696 seats per week to operate Perth-Manila flights (v.v.) and unrestricted capacity to operate Brisbane-Cebu flights (v.v.) on the Philippines route. Qantas proposes to operate each service three times per week.

Invitation for other applications

In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for the capacity.

The closing date for making an application is 7 April 2025. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Director of the Commission, by email (at contact@iasc.gov.au), of your intention as soon as possible.

Update: 23-April-2025

On 17 April 2025, the Commission issued Determination [2025] IASC 104, allocating to Qantas 696 seats of capacity per week to operate passenger services between Australia and Manila on the Philippines route, subject to certain conditions. The Determination is valid for five years.

On 17 April 2025, the Commission also issued Determination [2025] IASC 105, allocating to Qantas unrestricted capacity to operate passenger services between Australia and points in the Philippines, other than Manila and Clark, subject to certain conditions. The Determination is valid for 99 years.
