The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application from Qantas requesting to renew Determination [2020] IASC 103 which allocates to Qantas 1,927 seats per week in each direction on the Philippines route, subject to certain conditions. Qantas seeks to retain all existing conditions.

Qantas further requests to renew Determination [2020] IASC 104 which allocates to Qantas 788 seats per week in each direction on the New Caledonia route, subject to certain conditions. Qantas seeks to retain all existing conditions.

Invitation for other applications

In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route.

The closing date for making an application is 10 June 2025. If you are intending to make an application, please inform the Director of the Commission, by email (at contact@iasc.gov.au), as soon as possible.

Update: 27-June-2025

On 26 June 2025, the Commission issued renewal Determination [2025] IASC 106, allocating to Qantas 1,927 seats of capacity per week on the Philippines route, subject to certain conditions. The capacity may be used by Qantas or its wholly-owned subsidiary Jetstar. The determination is valid for five years from 9 May 2026.

On 26 June 2025, the Commission also issued renewal Determination [2025] IASC 107, allocating to Qantas 788 seats of capacity per week on France-Route 3 (New Caledonia route), subject to certain conditions. The capacity may be used by Qantas or its wholly-owned subsidiary Jetstar and for Qantas to provide code share services with Aircalin. The determination is valid for five years from 9 May 2026.
