The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application from Qantas seeking to vary Determination [2021] IASC 101, which allocates unlimited capacity on the Japan route. The application seeks to vary the existing condition permitting Japan Airlines to code share on selected Jetstar operated services until 22 February 2027.
Qantas seeks to extend the approval for Japan Airlines to code share on the following Jetstar operated services beyond 22 February 2027:
- Cairns-Tokyo (Narita) vv
- Cairns-Osaka (Kansai) vv
Invitation for submissions
In accordance with section 22 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites submissions on the application. The closing date for submissions is 22 October 2026.
