The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application from Qantas seeking an allocation of 168 seats of passenger capacity per week on the Palau route. From 2 December 2026, Qantas plans to operate one additional weekly return service between Brisbane and Koror, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft configured with 168 seats.
Qantas has requested the capacity on the following basis:
- For a period of five years from the date of the determination; and
- The capacity will be fully utilised by 31 December 2026.
Invitation for other applications
In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity on the route. The closing date for making an application is 30 September 2026.
