On 29 April, the International Air Services Commission (the Commission) received an application from Qantas requesting to renew the following determinations allocating capacity:
Italy
Determination [2022] IASC 101 which allocates three frequencies per week, subject to certain conditions.
Timor-Leste
Determination [2022] IASC 112 which allocates five frequencies per week, subject to certain conditions.
Vietnam
Determination [2021] IASC 105 which allocates seven frequencies per week, subject to certain conditions.
Invitation for other applications
In accordance with section 12 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites other applications for capacity. The closing date for making an application is 14 May 2026.
Update: 04-June-2026
On 3 June 2026, the Commission issued:
- Renewal Determination [2026] IASC 107 allocating to Qantas five frequencies per week on the Timor-Leste route, subject to certain conditions. The determination is valid for five years from 11 March 2027.
- Renewal Determination [2026] IASC 108 allocating to Qantas three frequencies per week on the Italy route, subject to certain conditions. The determination is valid for five years from 13 January 2027.
- Renewal Determination [2026] IASC 109 allocating to Qantas seven frequencies per week on the Vietnam route, subject to certain conditions. The determination is valid for five years from 21 March 2027.
