The International Air Services Commission (the Commission) has received an application from Qantas seeking to vary Determination [2023] IASC 123 which allocates unlimited passenger and freight capacity and frequency on the New Zealand route, to permit Finnair to code share on selected Jetstar operated services.
Invitation for Submissions
In accordance with section 22 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites submissions about the transfer application. The closing date for making a submission is 13 August 2026.
Update: 14-September-2026
On 11 September 2026, the Commission issued Decision [2026] IASC 208 varying Determination [2023] IASC 123 on the New Zealand route to permit the use of the capacity for code sharing between Jetstar Airways Pty Limited and Finnair Plc. The permission is valid for the duration of the determination, commencing from 11 September 2026.
